Hiking Trails

We have Many Hikes in the Meat Cove area, they range from 20 minutes to 6 1/2 hours. & they all leave from our campground!
These are some of our hikes and some Information on them:

1) Little Grassy Trail - 20 Minutes.
This trail leaves from the Meat Cove Camping,Its the easiest trail we have. It has a great view of Meat Cove, from above you can watch Bald Eagles and Whales. You can also see the Sunset or the Sunrise!

2)Meat Cove Mountain - 90 Minutes
Its a little harder than the Little Grassy Trail. This trail also has a great view, and a lot of blue berries, so take your dishes!

4)Cape St. Lawrence Light- 4 hour return
This Trail Leaves from the Meat Cove Camping. You walk in the forest where you pass beautiful lakes. On your Journey you will see Bald Eagles, Moose and Orchids! The orchids are found nowhere else in Nova Scotia! At the end of a trail you come out in the open, where you can see horses in fields, and whales in the Atlantic. You can see the foundation of an old light house, And if you have enough energy you can walk the shoreline and hike the:

5) Lowland Cove- 6 hour return
This trail connects to the Cape St. Lawrence Light. After you walk the shoreline you go back into the woods and you come out at the Meat Cove Camping.
